The apartment is in a strategic quiet location with great sea view. It is well decorated, extremely well kept, clean and very well equipped with whatever you need for a great vacation, from beach stuff to kitchen pots and utensils. Charlie, the local host, warmly welcomed us on our arrival, with lots of tips and bottles of wine and prosecco. Througout our stay, he has been very responsive to our needs and wishes, while leaving us plenty of privacy. Everything was new and the unit was supplied with everything you could need or want - toaster, pots and pans, coffee maker, (even a pizza pan), hair dryer, iron, storage containers, baggies, saran wrap, seasonings, beer, water, soda and ice waiting in refrigerator, etc. Even the toilet paper was not that cheap stuff usually stocked in Airbnbs. Air Conditioning not needed but worked great. Great shower. Washer, dryer. Quiet area. Shambles Bar and Grill and Windmill Restaurant short 2-minute drive from rental. The place had beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, hose to rinse feet and equipment, clothesline, nice deck, deck chairs and table, etc. Charlie was super nice and helpful. This was our 10th stay on St John and this place had more items than any other place. We plan to return. - Stuart

Charlie and his wife are very nice and welcoming people, the instructions for finding their apartment were very clear. Once there it was even better than we thought. We have never been so sad to leave a place as we are today. Charlie and Debbie made everything absolutely perfect for our stay. Deanna was an excellent communicator and guide. The location could not be better. A short 10 minute drive from Cruz Bay along a main road made travel a breeze. We could access any part of the island with ease. The Windmill Bar and Shambles Bar were two of our favorite spots and a three minute drive from the house.
This was the cleanest and most well appointed vacation rental we’ve ever experienced. We were able to use their snorkeling equipment and beach gear. Everything was top-notch. The grounds were beautiful. Absolutely immaculate. The apartment cooled off within minutes of turning on the air conditioning. Super hot water for the showers. We weren’t quite sure what to expect with having the owners on site, but it was so nice! They are delightful people. We were able to have as much privacy as we wanted. I just got back from staying at Taking it Breezy this place is amazing, it was spotless and it had everything that you would need. And the bed was super comfortable. We were so fortunate to enjoy a week at this lovely property. It is pristine; easily the cleanest AirBnB or rental home I’ve ever stayed at! It gleams. The materials and furnishings are up to date, comfortable and high quality. The property is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need (and more!) to enjoy a great stay. All the modern amenities are here: new ac, fast Wi-Fi, laundry, parking, beach gear, spa shower, new kitchen & grill. Seriously just need your bathing suit and toothbrush. The deck and views are lovely, and it’s a great neighborhood location near town, beaches and hiking. Only thing better than the property were the wonderful hosts. Taking It Easy was the cleanest space I have ever rented! Extremely comfortable bed, beautiful new tiled full bathroom, compact kitchen where we easily prepared meals. And it had a large deck with expansive views; sunsets from the deck were lovely. The front yard with abundant plantings was most attractive.
Charlie and Debbie have put their heart and soul into making this their home and yours while you stay. Charlie met us upon arrival., helped carry in our luggage,and explained everything. They had stocked the frig with many waters, beer, sparkling wine, flavored waters and hard seltzers. These are very generous owners. We had an amazing stay. I would recommend renting a jeep for traveling to and from the property. This property was immaculate with full amenities. The owners live upstairs and were SOOOO friendly and accommodating. They provided us snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels etc. AND when we had to return our jeep early, they came and picked us up from town and dropped us at the ferry AND when my husband left his passport in the unit, Charlie drove it down to us in town!
